Our story to yours
I'm a mother of two because of IVF.
It took years of trying, learning more about fertility treatment than I ever expected to, going to appointments, doing shots, and waiting for results. But it led us to our two kids, and I'm endlessly grateful for that.
Along the way, I noticed something. There are plenty of support groups, resources, and communities built for the person undergoing treatment. But for the other person, the husband, the partner, the other half of this experience, there’s a lot less.
I don't think that's because their experience doesn't matter. It's just a quieter kind of hard. Wanting to help and not always knowing how. Trying to stay steady for someone else while you're also scared, hoping, and waiting. You're going through this, too.
Half the Cycle is my attempt to close that gap. A place to understand what's happening, figure out how to support your partner, and find some support for yourself along the way.
Because fertility treatment may not ask the same things of both of you, but it affects both of you.
I hope you find something useful, something honest, and maybe a little bit of company along the way.
